It is our mission to know Jesus Christ more deeply
and to make Him known more widely.
the Great Commission
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20
We are Obedient to our Mission by Making Disciples
Jesus commanded us to be in the business of making disciples, and according to the Lord's description of how to do precisely that, we believe that their are two divisions to this essential work, reaching and teaching.
Reaching
“Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Teaching
“Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:15-16
